Chrome bezels will continue to be available.
Pick of the Ricks is proud to be the exclusive dealer for the Treble Bezel.
It is the perfect solution for owners of the Rickenbacker 4001 and 4003 series who prefer to play with the Treble pickup cover off.
The treble bezel eliminates the sharp edges and the unattractive pickup cavity that removal of the pickup cover reveals.
The Treble Bezels are CNC machined out of high strength black ABS plastic. They are top coated with a soft touch clear urethane .
This clear top coat resist scratches, stains and fingerprints.
The factory pickup height adjustment feature remains unchanged.
Designed and made in the U.S.A.
These are hand finished, dated and numbered.
Available in 3 styles to fit either 4003 or 4001:
Note: Some early 4003 Rickenbackers had the straight 4001 style chrome surround without the step down.Make sure you specify what style chrome surround is on your bass when placing your order.
If you have the Straight style chrome surround you'll need to order a 4001 series Treble Bezel.

A perfect replacement for the Rick cover. I love the look of the Rickenbacker treble bridge pup cover and was reluctant to remove it, as it is part of that classic Rick bass look. I, like a few other reviewers, use a pick and installing the treble bezel completes the empty look after taking the original cover off. It is a perfect fit and looks like it naturally belongs. A must have if removing the orig cover. It now allows ease of picking directly over the bridge pup for a real full attacking sound.

Had to take off the horse shoe pickup cover on my 2013 4003 Jet glow. When with black with the thumb indentation. Works great and now I can really funk it all up.

I pick play, and now not only does my hand not go into the pu cavity, but with the deluxe shelf on bottom I've got a place to hook my pinky finger. Part fits snugly and straight. Ace.

Works as advertised. Love it.
It would probably be a good idea to take notice of your thumb position while playing your bass before ordering. I noticed that my thumb tended to hover over the cavity on the left side of the pickup. So I bought the "Cove" model, with the little well on the left side.

Since I bought my first 4001 in 1977 and now my latest 4003, this ingenious design literally fills in the blank! I removed the treble pickup cover on my original 4001 because I hated having to play around it. The only problem was my thumb would always sink into the pickup chamber. As a finger player, I bought the cove deluxe bezel. So much easier to maneuver and play off different strings and not have to worry about tearing my thumb up by yanking it out of the whole...

Like many before I wanted to remove the pickup cover from my new 4003 Jetglo. This covered it beautifully and added a flat finish to the guitar.
My guitar tech loved it and so do I

Fast delivery, easy installation, and it does everything I'd hoped for. If you have a Ric and are not thrilled with the bridge pickup cover then this is the product for you.

This addition adds the stability needed on the Rick. Keeps me playing comfortably at the bridge pu. Pick guard good for stability at neck pu. THIS PRODUCT COMPLETED MY RICK!

I was used to playing with my thumb on a humbucker, this is as close as I can come to that on a Rick!
Better than other thumbrest products for me.
Recommended, 5/5!
